Algodonales is a real Spanish town, ideal as a base for paraglider and hang glider pilots or flying school groups, and
for those who love the outdoors - artists, birdwatchers and walkers alike.
Algodonales (from algodon - cotton) sits in stunning countryside, 30 kms from Ronda, 90 from Seville, and less than an
hour's drive from Jerez. It is served by airports in Malaga, Jerez or Seville.
In the surrounding countryside you will find the Grazalema national park which has many species of protected birds, and
which is a breathtaking ride from Algo. The road goes via Zahara, perhaps one of the most beautiful hill towns in the region,
and which boasts another selection of value-for-money restaurants.
Algodonales is the paragliding mecca of southern Spain, and you will find a number of international flying schools able
to offer tuition in English, Spanish, French and German.
